MAC Prim & proper and dupes

Ahh, this blush. THIS BLUSH. I love it, and I hate it.  Well, I mainly hate the fact that I didn’t buy a back-up of it.  It’s not the blush’s fault. but the love I have for it… yes, I want to marry it. It was part of MAC give Me liberty of London collection from 2010.  MAC’s official shade description is “neutral nude” which really downplays how nuanced the colour is. It’s a shimmering bronze nudey shade, yet it’s got a plummy-ness to it as well.  It registers as both warm and amazing tone on the skin, depending on...

Untrieds: Pixi limitless Silky Eye Pen

Today, I’m examining a just recently obtained product – you may recall that I gotten this during Targetgate™, together with a few Sonia Kashuk goodies.  The Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pen retails for $12.00 (1.2g) as well as is a Target special brand right here in Canada.  Once Target stores closes here, I’m not sure if Pixi will be offered in a bricks as well as mortar store right here anymore. This liner comes in a elegant box.  I don’t believe I’ve seen one more drugstore brand that offers pencil eyeliners in boxes. The pencils are all housed in a light eco-friendly casing, with...

Sundays With Tabs the Cat, makeup and beauty blog Mascot, Vol. 699

spring was always Tabs’s thing. He loved the idea of the world coming back to life again. Now I know it isn’t spring yet, but it’s just around the corner, and this time of year always makes me think of him because every year he’d tell me, “Beware the Ides of March,” and I was never sure if he was quoting literature or if he was indeed planning my demise for the Ides of March. ADVERTISEMENT But that’s beside the point. Cherry blossom season was his jam. There’s something about the fleeting beauty of the tiny pink flowers that touched...

5 things I’ve Been Loving Lately

1. Old-school space body sprinkle scents from the ’90s Remember Grass? as well as Dream?! I liked those back in the day. I discovered them just recently at a space outlet near my house, as well as I had to get hold of a bottle just for fun. I didn’t get heaven though since one of my college roommates (who I ultimately had a falling out with) used everything the time, as well as whenever I catch a whiff of it now, all I odor is betrayal, ha ha ha! 2. This $15 racerback storage tank gown from Eddie Bauer...

Spring shoe patterns at DSW: Adventures in platform sandals

Let’s look at shoes! I glanced at my feet yesterday, which was the very first time I’d paid interest to them in ages, as well as two thoughts pertained to mind… Yay! sandal season is coming. BOO! sandal season in coming. (Note to self: get a tube of exfoliating foot cream ASAP.) Warm weather condition is ideal around the corner, which indicates that it’s time to complimentary the feet, so, since I like to be prepared (and, also, since I don’t own any type of flat sandals that are comfortable), my primary sidekick/sous chef as well as I went to...

Saturday Surfing, Aug. 22, 2020

Hello, and delighted Saturday! Welcome to the weekend, yay! ? I hope your caturday got off to a good start. Mine has been adequately kicking back so far. ? Can we start by talking a little bit about makeup? pretty please? — because I’ve been thinking about a comment Heather left on a post the other day about checking out makeup as an all-or-nothing thing… ADVERTISEMENT What she said about being all-or-nothing when it pertains to makeup *really* resonates with me! I’ve absolutely felt this way in the past. A few years ago, if I hadn’t been able to bang...

Sundays With Tabs the Cat, makeup and beauty blog Mascot, Vol. 667

Did you know that when a cat has a penchant for plants, they call it having a “green paw?” Tabs didn’t just have one green paw. all of his paws were green. Horticulture was something he did on the side. In fact, he was awarded an honorary PhD in horticulture from the university of Hawaii, with an emphasis on native Hawaiian plants. ADVERTISEMENT He had a soft spot for the flashiest flowers. Hibiscus and plumeria were his favorites. He also did pretty well with orchids, which amazes me to this day. Mine have never looked as good as they did...

Makeup as well as charm blog Monday Poll, Vol. 712

So…what is the Monday Poll? Excellent question! It isn’t, as opposed to its name, an actual poll, like with bit clicky buttons. It’s just a listing of much more or less random concerns I’ve been publishing on this blog every Monday morning for the past quadrillion years (since 2007). 1. exactly how are your drawing and/or painting skills? Passable if I requirement to communicate an concept to someone, however otherwise quite basic. Both are at the level of eighth grade art class, which was when I peaked artistically, LOL! 2. have you ever taken or wished to take a ballet...

What Are Your go-to makeup Multitaskers at the Moment, and Why Do You love Them?

got nothin’ but love for these marvelous multitaskers One of my grandest multitasking loves could be considered basic…but it’s a fantastic workhorse. It’s MAC Brun Eyeshadow, and I use it as a brow filler, an eyeliner and, yes, as an eyeshadow. Dark brown Brun is neither too warm nor too gray, and its satin finish looks practically matte when it’s on skin. ADVERTISEMENT Also, yeah, it’s surprisingly easy to blend. I’ve been wearing it for north of a decade now (YIKES), and it’s one of my tried-and-true MAC faves. It’s really a staple. That said, I also me some Maybelline...
